Wherever the road takes me

I have left behind my fabulous friends and life in Hollywood to become an English Teacher in rural Japan. Who knows how long I'll stay here. Who knows what I'll do next. But check here to find out about my latest adventures.

Going to Mount Rushmore

I woke up New Year's Day and realized, I had absolutely nothing on my agenda. So, I hopped in the car and headed north to South Dakota. I have never been to Mount Rushmore. I saw North by Northwest, and that had Cary Grant at Mount Rushmore..but other than living vicariously...I've never been. And now that I have gone, I will admit that it is a cool thing. But, not much different then seeing it on the big screen. And unlike in North by Northwest, one cannot get as close to the monument as Mr. Grant did. As far as experiences go, I am glad I did it...but now that i have a year long season pass to the park (it was included in the cost of admission), I don't really think i need to go back.

What? No comments from My Little Pony? What possessed you to ask her as a traveling companion?

well, to be honest My Little Pony is actually exceptionally well traveled. She has been my travel companion to such far flung places as Angkor Wat, Kyoto, Hanoi, and Kuala Lumpur.....She has even done a bit of traveling on her own, when I unfortunately got the flu and had to bow out at the last minute on my journey to Hong Kong....she went took the trip with my mates...They sent back some great pics.

that's soooo fun!! Do you have a series of My Little Pony traveling in these key spots?? I shoulda done that, in places. But, as I was Lara Croft in Angkor Wat, I think it's sufficient.
